Till Payments, FinTech, Ziosk, ZIPS, North America, USA, Integrated Payments Solutions, Independent Software Vendor, Ziosk Smart Screen Payment TerminalsGlobal payments FinTech disruptor, Till Payments has recently announced the acquisition of ZIPS, the payment processing business unit of the hospitality technology platform company, Ziosk. This acquisition further strengthens Till’s integrated payments capabilities and fast tracks the company’s expansion across North America.

The ZIPS business unit has been absorbed into the broader Till business, enabling new and existing partners to access a single-entry gateway to global expansion and greater flexibility for its integrated payments solution.

The complete ZIPS portfolio of independent software vendor partners and referral partners across North America, along with all of its employees, has transitioned over to Till as part of the acquisition, growing the company’s North America team to 35.

Moving across from ZIPS, Kevin Brown has been appointed Head of Strategy for Till North America. In this role, he will oversee the business’ automation efforts, driving innovation in Integrated Payments and introducing Till’s all-in-one payment solution to the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) community across the region. He brings with him 17 years of experience in the payments sector.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kevin and the rest of the ZIPS team to our Till Force. Our commitment to developing a fairer, simpler, feature-rich payments solution complements the ethos of ZIPS. Together, we have no doubt that we’ll be making a huge impact on the profitability, sustainability and global market expansion efforts of our ISV partners as we continue to innovate within the broader payments landscape,” said Tom Tucker, Regional Director – North America at Till.

The deal also establishes a long-term strategic partnership between Till and Ziosk. Ziosk will continue to leverage the Till payment processing offering across its growing network of 3500+ hospitality locations in the US, while Till will be offering Ziosk Smart Screen payment terminals to their international network of merchants.

Shadi Haddad, CEO at Till Payments, believes the global hospitality sector is rapidly adopting disruptive technologies to mitigate the economic effects of the last two years and is calling out for the unique solution offered by Till and Ziosk.

“Our newly established partnership with Ziosk will serve to strengthen our existing offering to businesses in the hospitality industry. The pandemic has completely overhauled the sector and there is now a critical need for payments and technology solutions that can address the operational and staffing issues facing the industry today,” Shadi Haddad, CEO at Till Payments, said.

“Coupled with the smart, disruptive, customer experience enhancing technology of Ziosk, Till’s solution will tackle those challenges head on and we’re confident that we’ll be able to provide the urgent support that the industry needs,” he continued.

Rhonda Levene, President and COO of Ziosk, said, “We are thrilled to be creating a long-term strategic relationship with Till Payments. This partnership supports their focus on game changing payment processing and allows Ziosk to stay dedicated to our evolving hospitality technology platform and bringing those innovations to market.”

“This is a true win-win-win relationship for the merchants, Till and Ziosk as we collectively provide disruptive solutions that improve merchant profitability by decreasing costs and increasing revenue,” said Jack Baum, CEO of Ziosk.

The acquisition follows a massive year of growth for Till, who secured $90 million in funding last year and is set to continue its global expansion across North America, the UK and Europe in the coming months.
