Plain Numbers and Visa partner to enhance inclusivity in the UK
By Gloria Methri
Plain Numbers has signed a strategic collaboration with Visa, focused on enabling inclusive financial services for adults in the UK. With Visa’s vast network and the Plain Numbers Approach, the collaboration will strive to bring enhanced financial inclusion and design in government disbursements.
Enhanced knowledge of digital financial services and platforms can help people manage their money and assets better and financially plan their futures. Government disbursements play an important, unique, and vital role in protecting constituents and delivering better outcomes for them.
Together, the partners aim to lower barriers and improve access to and understanding of essential resources from governments.
“I am excited to announce our collaboration with Visa, who, through their work with governments and humanitarian organisations, support vulnerable customers here in the UK and across the world. There is a huge opportunity to present numbers and data better everywhere, and we look forward to supporting Visa to incorporate our Approach into their digital payment innovation,” said Mike Ellicock, Chief Executive at Plain Numbers.
“Visa is excited to partner with Plain Numbers to deliver crucial numerical information in an accessible and impactful way. The team does fantastic, vital work helping improve financial inclusion, and we believe we’ll be able to extend that reach even further,” said Greg Sheppard, Global Head of Government Disbursements at Visa.
This collaboration with Visa will complement the company’s other endeavours with partners, including the Bank of England and HM Treasury. Through strategically formed partnerships, the Plain Numbers Approach has helped improve communications that reach millions of customers.
