Dineo Crédito taps Mambu to bolster lending capabilities in Spain
By Gloria Methri
Dineo Crédito, a Spanish microlender part of the international retail company Cash Converters group, has partnered with the cloud banking platform Mambu.
The move will see Dineo Crédito migrate from its in-house core system to Mambu, where it plans to launch innovative lending products for its growing customer base in Spain.
Part of the Spanish Fintech Chamber and Asociación Española de Micropréstamos, Dineo Crédito is looking to promote financial inclusion and has already helped 1.2 million borrowers by providing financial support. On Mambu’s modern core, the company can capitalise on its flexibility to compete in a dynamic market and ensure it is able to stay ahead amidst the evolving regulatory landscape.
“We were in search of a player that could help us co-create our product roadmap and support us through our digital transformation journey more efficiently and effectively,” said María Sánchez, Head of Dineo Crédito. “Mambu’s proven track record with lenders, breadth of possibilities the platform offers, and close collaboration throughout the process made it the perfect fit for our needs.”
Running on Mambu, Dineo Crédito aims to expand its lending portfolio to include more traditional lending products with higher loan amounts and longer terms. This move will enhance its strategic edge, offering diversified financial solutions to attract a broader range of borrowers.
Victor Indiano, Area Manager, Southern Europe at Mambu, said, “Our partnership with Dineo Crédito has gone from strength to strength. Its ambition to promote financial inclusion and commitment to ethical and transparent banking perfectly aligns with our ambitions and values here at Mambu. We are proud to be supporting the company and its customers in this crucial time.”
The Spanish microlender joins a growing number of banks, financial service providers, and EMI-licensed institutions in Southern Europe that run on Mambu, including Plazo, Orange Bank and Universo Sonae.
