HPS expands global footprint with new office in Pune, India

HPS, the global provider of payment software and services, has announced the official opening of its new office and delivery centre in Pune, India. This marks a milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy.

The new office, strategically located in Pune, reflects our Group’s commitment to enhancing its global presence and strengthening its capabilities in delivering exceptional services to clients worldwide. Pune, renowned for its thriving business ecosystem and talented workforce, emerges as the ideal destination for the company’s expansion efforts.

As a key delivery centre, the Pune office will pivotally support HPS’s mission to provide solutions and services, especially electronic payment services, to issuers, acquirers, switches, and ATMs for clients across various industries in India and the Subcontinent (Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal). This expansion allows the company to tap into the rich pool of local talent, fostering innovation, diversity, and a collaborative work environment.

Furthermore, the Pune office will serve two primary objectives: first, to spearhead HPS’ expansion efforts in India and the wider subcontinent, leveraging the region’s vibrant business ecosystem and skilled workforce. Second, the Pune office will serve as a vital hub, providing additional resources to support project delivery, client support, and product R&D for the entire Group, thereby accelerating business growth worldwide.

The office will be headed by Vikram Samant, a professional with over 22 years of combined technology delivery experience in credit card issuing, acquiring, and digital transformation. Vikram brings with him international technology management experience across the Asia Pacific and European markets and IT leadership across payments business domains. His extensive expertise will greatly contribute to the success of HPS’s operations in Pune.
